With your generous support, Penfield Children's Center will renovate our outdated Gross Motor Room to create an engaging play area for children of all abilities that strengthens fine and gross motor skills, promotes cooperative play, fosters healthy lifestyles, and offers accommodating spaces for therapy sessions.

The new Gross Motor Room will connect to Penfield's adjacent playground to offer a seamless indoor and outdoor play experience. The space will feature distinct areas that will spark children's imaginations and creativity, and allow them to improve their coordination and physical strength by exploring new play structures. 

Additionally, a new recessed play area will allow our youngest babies to play separately from more active toddlers and children. The Gross Motor Room will also feature small motor activities, such as latches, locks, and switches, which will increase children's dexterity and curiosity.
